History. This publication is a major revision. The portions affected by this revision are listed in
the summary of change.
Summary. This regulation prescribes policy and guidance for The Army School System
(TASS).
Applicability. This regulation applies to Regular Army (RA), Army National Guard (ARNG),
and U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) agencies responsible for managing or conducting training and
education courses.
Proponent and exception authority. The proponent of this regulation is the Deputy Chief of
Staff (DCS), G-3/5/7, Training Operations Management Activity (TOMA). The proponent has
authority to approve exceptions or waivers to this regulation consistent with controlling law and
regulation. The proponent may delegate this authority in writing, to a subordinate division chief
