History. This is change 1 to U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC)
Regulation (Reg) 25-1, 16 September 2006.
Summary. This regulation establishes policy and assigns responsibilities for governance of
information management (IM) and information technology (IT) for U.S. Army Training and
Doctrine Command (TRADOC) organizations. IM/IT addresses the management of information
as a resource, the technology supporting information requirements, and knowledge management
enablers as a means to achieve a net-centric knowledge-based force. The scope of Deputy Chief
of Staff (DCS), G-6 responsibilities and management processes is delineated throughout this
regulation.
Applicability. This regulation applies to all TRADOC organizations within the U.S. Army.
Proponent and exception authority. The proponent for this regulation is the DCS, G-6. The
proponent has the authority to approve exceptions or waivers to this regulation that are consistent
with controlling law and regulations.
Army management control process. This regulation does not contain management control
provisions.
