MILITARY SPECIFICATION
VALVE ACTUATOR, DIRECT COUPLED, GEAR DRIVEN
ELECTRICALLY POWERED FOR NAVAL SHIPBOARD
PROPULSION AND AUXILIARY SYSTEMS
(METRIC)
This specification‘isapproved for use by the Naval Sea Systems
Command, Department of the Navy, and is available for use by all
Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope.
This specificationdescribes an electrically powered, directly
coupled, gear driven valve actuator primarily for valves in main propulsion,
auxiliary and cargo systems of Naval ships.
1.2 Classification. Actuators shall be characterized by the following types,
