1. SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION.
1.1 w. This specification covers requirements for United States of America
National Flag and Union Jack.
1.2 Classification.
1.2.1 Naterials, styles , headings and sizes. The US National Flag and Union
Jack shall be of the following materials, styles, headings and sizes, as
specified (ace 6.2 and

Cotton Bunting.
Nylon, lightweight
Nylon, heavyweight
Nylon and wool bunting.
Rayon banner cloth.

Swiss hand loom embroidery (For indoor flags only).

1.2.1.3 Headings. ‘l%eheadings of the US National Flag and Union Jack shall be
of the follming types and classes, as specified (see 6.2) :
Type I-Duck
Class l-With distance line, ring and enaphook.
Class 2+Jith grommets.
Clasa 2a-With grommets (Interment).
Class 3+Iith distance line and thimbles.
Class 4+Jith grommets and leather tabs.
Type II-Tube or tunnel type.
Type III-Heading, automobile flag type.
Class 2+4ith leather tabs (automobile flag).
