FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
RESPIRATOR ASSEMBLY: HALF MASK, AIR-PURIFYING,
COMBINATION CHEMICAL CARTRIDGE AND FILTER
(FOR PESTICIDES AND ORGANIC VAPORS)
This specification is approved for use by the Naval Facilities
Engineering Command, Department of the Navy, and is available for
use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
The complete requirements for procuring the respirators described herein
shall consist of this document and the issue in effect of GGG-M-125/GEN.
1. SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION
1.1 Scope. This specification covers the specific requirements for
air-purifying, half-mask respirators with chemical cartridges and filters for
removal of low concentrations of pesticides and dust and mists, and organic
vapors from air.
1.2 Classification. Half-mask respirators covered by this specification
shall be of the following types, styles, and sizes as specified (see 6.2):
Type I - Replaceable cartridge(s)
Style A - Single cartridge
Style B - Dual cartridge
Type II - Non-replaceable cartridge (disposable)
Style A - Single cartridge
Size 1 - Small
Size 2 - Medium
Size 3 - Large
