3. RRQUIRFWEiTS
3.1 Ccmstmmti.m. The tape shall consist of . tramparent vinyl plastic backing that is resistant
to water md most chemicals used ti electroplating operations, and o.. side shall be c-mrpletely coate~
on one
sidewith a pressure-sensitive,waterresistanthouagenrnusadhesiveappliedin a smoothlayer.
The tape shallbe suchas to ensureperfommnceih platingbathsup to 170eF., and shallrequireno
solvent,heat,or otherpreparationprior to application.
3.2 F.o1ls.
The tape shall be wmmd in rolls, adhesive side in, . . cores of sufficient rigidity
to prevent distortion of the rolls under normal renditions of transportation, stmrage and use.
