This specification is approved by the Commissioner, Federal Supply Service,
General Services Administration, for the use of ail Federal agencies.
The requirements for acquiring the wire described herein shall consist of
this specification and the latest issue of J-W-1177.
Classification: Class 155; type L (single), type L2 (heavy);
round.
Insulating materials:
The film shall be baaed nn a pnlyester resin.
NEMA/ANSI equivalent:
All test requirements except thermal endurance
are equivalent to MU-5 of NEMA MU 1000.
