SCOFE AND CLASSIFICATION
1.1 Scope.
This specificationcovers the requirementsfor chamois leather made from oil-tanned
sheepskin fleshers.
1,2 Classification.
1,2.1 Grades,
classes, and sizes.
Chamois leather shall be of the followinggrades, classes,
and sizes, as specified (6,2).
Grade A -
For strainingwater and other impuritiesfrom gasoline.
Grade B -
General purpose (washingand polishing).
Class 1 -
Pocket-shaped.
Size 12 X 14 inches,
Size 16 X 21 inches.
Size 20 X
26 inches,
Size 23 X
26 inches.
Class 2 -
Natural skin-shaped,edges trimmed.
Size S - Small.
Size M - Mediufn.
Size L - Large.
