FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
SEMITRAILERS, REFUSE COLLECTION,
COMPACTION TYPE: COMMERCIAL
This specification is approved by the Commissioner, Federal
Supply Service, General Services Administration, for the use
of all Federal agencies.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers commercial, compaction type, refuse
collection semitrailers.
1.2 Classification. Semitrailers are of the following types, as specified
(see 6.2):
Type I - See 6.6
Type II - Tandem axle, 50 cubic yards (yd3) (38.2 cubic meters (m3))
Type III - See 6.6
Type IV - Tandem axle, 65 yd3 (49.6 m3)
Type V - Tandem axle, 75 yd3 (57.3 m3)
