FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
TRACTOR, FULL-TRACKED, LOW SPEED
(DIESEL-ENGINE-DRIVEN)
This specification is approved by the Commissioner, Federal
Supply Service, General Services Administration, for the use
of all Federal agencies.
1. SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION
1.1 Scope. This specification covers diesel-engine-driven, crawler type
tractors, as defined in SAE J727. These tractors require one or more optional
functions when specified herein such as: drawbar, blade, winch, backhoe and
ripper operations.
1.2 Classification.
1.2.1 Sizes. The tractors shall be of the sizes specified in table I,
(see 6.2).
