FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
TRACTOR, WHEELED, GENERAL PURPOSE INDUSTRIAL
(DIESEL-ENGINE-DRIVEN)
This specification is approved by the Commissioner, Federal
Supply Service, General Services Administration, for the use
of all Federal agencies.
1. SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION
1.1 Scope. This specification covers general purpose commercial industrial
wheeled tractors requiring one or more optional functions when specified herein
such as: front end loading, backhoe, mowing and drawbar operations.
1.2 Classification.
1.2.1 Sizes. The tractors covered by this specification shall be of the
following minimum sizes as specified (see 6.2).
