FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
SODIUM PHOSPHATE, TRIBASIC, ANHYDROUS;
DODECARYDRATE; AND MONOHYDRATE; TECHNICAL
This specification was approved by the Assistant Administrator, Office of
Federal Supply and Services, General Services Administration, for the use
of all Federal agencies.
1. SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION
1.1 Scope. This specification covers three types and one grade of
tribasic sodium phosphate suitable for various washing, cleaning, and
scouring processes (see 6.1).
1.2 Classification.
1.2.1 Types. The tribasic sodium phosphate covered by this
specification shall be of the following types as specified (see 6.2).
I - Anhydrous (NaÚ3¿POÚ4¿).
II - Dodecahydrate (NaÚ3¿POÚ4¿.12HÚ2¿O).
III - Monohydrate (NaÚ3¿POÚ4¿.HÚ2¿O).
2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS

invitation for bids or request for proposal, form a part of this
specification to the extent specified herein.
