CONTAINED FOR SHORE USE)
This specification is approved by the Commissioner, Federal
Supply Service, General Services Administration, for the use
of all Federal Agenciee.
1. SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION
1.1 $JconeL Thie specification covers air conditioners which
mount in a window, through a wall, or on a floor and deliver
conditioned air to an enclosed epace.
This
includee the cooling,
dehumidifying, circulating, filtering and ventilation of the air.
1.2 ~ Air conditioners covered by thie
specification ehall be of the following types, etylee, claeses,
models, electrical ratings, and sizes (eee Table I)(eee 6.2).
Type I - Window mounted type.
Style 1 - Double-hung eaeh window unit.
Style 2
- Casement window unit.
Type II -
Floor mounted type.
Type III - Through the wall mounted type.
Class A -
Cooling Only.
Class B - Combination cooling and heating.
Xodel (1) - 115 volts, single phase.
Model (2) - 230/208 volte, eingle phase.
Electrical Rating a - 50 hertz.
Electrical Rating b - 60 hertz.
