FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
LUBRICATING AND SERVICING UNIT, POWER-OPERATED,
PORTABLE, INDUSTRIAL TYPE
This specification is approved by the Commissioner, Federal
Supply Service, General Services Administration, for the use
of all Federal agencies.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This document covers a portable, platform-mounted, air-operated
lubricating unit (hereinafter referred to as the unit) consisting of a
diesel-engine-driven air compressor, lubricant pumps, hose reels, and other
equipment necessary to form a complete, self-contained unit suitable for
dispensing lubricants directly from standard refinery drums.
2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
2.1 Government publications. The issues of the following documents in

this specification to the extent specified herein.
