FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
SWEEPER, VACUUM OR REGENERATIVE, STREET, SELF PROPELLED, DED
This specification is approved by the Commissioner, Federal
Supply Service, General Services Administration, for the use
of all Federal agencies.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers self propelled, vacuum or
regenerative (recirculating air) street sweeper utilizing a dust/refuse
separator, with a debris hopper's effective capacity of not less than 3 cubic
meters mounted on a diesel engine driven (DED) truck with not less than 10,885
kilograms gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR).
2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS

standards form a part of this document to the extent specified herein. Unless
otherwise specified, the issues of these documents are those listed in the issue
