FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
VEGETABLE PEELING MACHINE, ELECTRIC
This specification was approved by the Assistant Administrator, Office of
Federal Supply and Services, General Services Administration, for the use
of all Federal agencies.
1. SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION
1.1 Scope. This specification covers counter mounted and floor-mounted,
electric-motor-operated peeling machines for removing skins from vegetables.
1.2 Classification.
1.2.1 Styles and sizes. Vegetable peeling machines shall be of the
following styles and sizes, as specified (see 6.2):
Style 1 - Counter mounted
Size A - 15 pounds of potatoes per charge
Style 2 - Floor-mounted
Size A - 15 pounds of potatoes per charge
Size B - 30 pounds of potatoes per charge
Size C - 50 pounds of potatoes per charge
2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
2.1 The following documents, of the issues in effect on date of
invitation for bids or request for proposal, form a part of this
Federal Specifications:
