The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this amendment
which forms a part of P-P-560B, dated June 2, 1981, by all federal agencies.

4.2.2, after “Accelerated storage stability (see 3.9):” Add “Consistency (type I only) (see
3.11).”

* 4.4.1.3: Delete the second sentence in its entirety and substitute “This device consists of an
inverted 8 ounce (0.24 liter) glass jar containing weights as shown in figure 1.”

* Figure 1: Delete “Loaded with lead shot to 5 lbs (2.27 kg)” and substitute “Loaded to 5 lb
(2.27 kg) with weights.”

5.2.3, after “Keep from freezing” and before “CAUTION:” Insert the following sentence:
“In addition, each unit container shall be marked with the following:”
NOTE: The margins of this amendment are marked with asterisks to indicate where changes
from the previous amendment were made. This was done as a convenience only and the
Government assumes no liability whatsoever for any inaccuracies in these notations. Bidders
and contractors are cautioned to evaluate the requirements of this document based on the entire
content irrespective of the marginal notations and relationship to the last previous amendment.
