DETAIL SPECIFICATION
BAGS, HEAT-SEALABLE
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department
of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This document covers heat-sealable bags used in military preservation.
1.2 Classification. Bags are furnished in the following types, classes, and styles as
specified (see 6.2):
1.2.1 Type. The type of bags is as follows:
Type I - Heavy duty
Type II - Medium duty
Type III - Light duty
Type IV - Extra-heavy duty
1.2.2 Class. The class of bags is as follows:
Class B - Waterproof
Class C - Waterproof, greaseproof
