‘rhisspecification covers the cleaning,
packing and marking of stock and production antifriction
parts and subassemblies.

Provides maximum oroteccion for worldwide fihioment,
handling, and storage (oucdc.orstorage - 1 ye;r
minimum) conditions.
Provides intermediate protection for material under
anticipated favorable worldwide shipment, handling, and
storage (minimum 10 months of favorable warehouse
environment) .
Provides minimum protection under favorable conditions
for material u8ed at the first destination and for a
maximum of 18 months under favorable warehouse
environment.
AS1l.1D 3951 ia a guide to the minimum requirements for
commercial packaging.
Connnercial packaging will be
acceptable for any level of protection when the
technical design of the package meer.aall condition of
che specified level of protection and provides che same
level of protection as the milita~ package.
