Purpose: In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive 5110.04 and DoD Instruction 5025.01,
this issuance:
• Establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and assigns procedures for taking disciplinary and
adverse actions, in accordance with the authority in Chapters 43 and 75 of Title 5, United States Code
(U.S.C.), referred to in this issuance as “Chapter 43” and “Chapter 75.”
• Issues an updated Table of Offenses and Penalties.
