PURPOSE
This volume implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 11-2, Aircrew Operations, and Air
Force Manual (AFMAN) 11-202V2, Aircrew Standardization and Evaluation Program and is
consistent with AFPD 10-9, Lead Command/Lead Agent Designation and Responsibilities for
United States Air Force Weapon Systems, Non-Weapon Systems, and Activities. It provides
guidance on the conduct of B-52 aircrew evaluations. It is applicable to all units/organizations
that operate or have oversight of units that operate B-52 aircraft, as well as commanders, operations
supervisors and aircrew personnel assigned or attached to all flying activities of these
units/organizations. This publication also applies to Air Force Reserve (AFR) units. This
publication does not apply to the Air National Guard or the United States Space Force. This
manual requires the collection and or maintenance of information protected by the Privacy Act of
1974, Public Law (PL) 92-204, Section 715 Appropriations Act for 1973, PLs 93-570
Appropriations Act for 1974, 93-294 Aviation Career Incentive Act of 1974, and Executive Order
13478, Amendments to Executive Order 9397 Relating to Federal Agency Use of Social Security
