This volume implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 11-2, Aircrew Operations, and Air
Force Instruction (AFI) 11-200, Aircrew Training, Standardization/Evaluation, and General
Operations Structure. It establishes the aircrew training guidance for C-17 aircraft to safely and
successfully accomplish their mobility mission. This is a specialized publication intended for use
by Airmen who have graduated from technical training related to this publication. This manual
applies to all civilian employees and uniformed members of the Regular Air Force, Air Force
Reserve, and Air National Guard.
