This instruction implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 11-2, Aircrew Operations. It
establishes evaluation criteria for the operation of C-130J aircraft to accomplish their worldwide
mobility missions safely and successfully. This is a specialized publication intended for use by
Airmen who have graduated from technical training related to this publication. It is used in
conjunction with AFI 11-202 Volume 2, Aircrew Standardization/Evaluation Program, and the
appropriate MAJCOM supplement. This AFMAN applies to all civilian employees and uniformed
members of the Regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard who operate or
maintain C-130J aircraft. Refer recommended changes and questions about this publication to the
Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) using the AF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of
Publication; route AF Form 847s from the field through MAJCOM publications/forms managers.
Ensure all records generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication adhere to Air
Force Instruction 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are
disposed in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule, which is located in the
Air Force Records Information Management System. This publication does not apply to the
United States Space Force.
This publication may be supplemented at any level, but all direct supplements must be routed to
the OPR of this publication for coordination prior to certification and approval. The authorities to
waive wing/unit level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2,
