This manual implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 11-2, Aircrew Operations, Air Force
Instruction (AFI) 11-200, Aircrew Training, Standardization/Evaluation, and General Operations
Structure, and AFI 11-202, Vol 3, General Flight Rules. This Air Force Manual (AFMAN)
establishes procedures for the operation of C-146A aircraft employed by Air Force Special
Operations Command (AFSOC) to accomplish their worldwide operational and training missions.
Instructions contained herein apply to AFSOC C-146A aircraft. It provides the most acceptable
policies and procedures for most circumstances, but does not replace sound judgment. This
manual does not apply to the Air National Guard (ANG). This publication does apply to Air Force
Reserve (AFR) units. This manual requires the collection and or maintenance of information
protected by the Privacy Act of 1974 authorized by Title 37 United States Code 301a Incentive
Pay, Public Law 92-570, Appropriations Act of 1973, Public Law 93-294, Aviation Career
