This manual implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 11-2, Aircrew Operations and Air
Force Instruction (AFI) 11-200, Aircrew Training, Standardization/Evaluation, and General
Operations Structure. Along with Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 11-202 Volume 1, Aircrew
Training, and Department of the Air Force Manual (DAFMAN) 11-401, Aviation Management,
this manual establishes Air Force (AF) standards for initial (INIT) qualification (QUAL), mission
(MSN) QUAL, and continuation training for personnel performing aircrew duties in the E-3G
Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. It applies to all civilian employees and
uniformed members of the Regular Air Force and the Air Force Reserve (AFR) operating E-3G
aircraft. This publication does not apply to the Air National Guard or the United States Space
Force. This manual requires the collection and or maintenance of information protected by the
Privacy Act of 1974 authorized by Department of Defense (DoD) 5400.11-R, Department of
Defense Privacy Program. The applicable SORN F011 AF XO A, Aviation Resource Management
