This manual implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 11-2, Aircrew Operations and Air
Force Instruction (AFI) 11-202 Volume 3, General Flight Rules. It establishes the minimum Air
Force standards for operations while performing duties in the E-4B. It applies to all Air Force
personnel in E-4B units. It does not apply to Air National Guard or Air Force Reserve Command
units. MAJCOMS are to forward proposed MAJCOM-level supplements to this volume to
Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC)/A3T for approval prior to publication
In accordance with (IAW) AFI 11-200, Aircrew Training, Standardization/Evaluation, and
General Operations Structure. Copies of MAJCOM-level supplements, after approved and
published, will be provided by the issuing MAJCOM to AFGSC/A3T, and the user MAJCOM
Offices of Primary Responsibility (OPR). Maintain supplement currency by complying with AFI
33-360, Publications and Forms Management. Forms affected by the Privacy Act have an
appropriate Privacy Act statement. Ensure that all records created as a result of processes
prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 33-
363, Management of Records, and disposed of in accordance with Air Force Records Information
Management System (AFRIMS) Records Disposition Schedule located in AFRIMS. Refer
recommended changes and questions about this publication to the OPR using AF Form 847,
Recommending for Change of Publication; route AF Forms 847 from the field through the
appropriate chain of command. The authorities to waive wing/unit level requirements in this
publication are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) number following the compliance
statement. See AFI 33-360, Publications and Forms Management, for a description of the
