This volume implements Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 11-202V1, Aircrew Training; Air Force
Instruction (AFI) 11-200, Aircrew Training, Standardization/Evaluation, and General Operations
Structure; and AFI 11-401, Aviation Management. This volume establishes Air Force standards
for basic qualification, mission qualification, and continuation training for all civilian employees
and uniformed members of the Regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve (AFR) and Air National
Guard (ANG) performing aircrew duties in HC-130J aircraft. This volume applies to all Air Force
Major Commands (MAJCOMs) operating the HC-130J. For the purpose of this manual, the Office
of the Director, Air National Guard is a MAJCOM. Where such guidance applies to both ANG
and AFR the term Air Reserve Component (ARC) is used. The authorities to waive wing/unit
level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) number
following the compliance statement. See AFI 33-360, Publications and Forms Management, for
a description of the authorities associated with the Tier numbers. This Manual requires the
collection and or maintenance of information protected by the Privacy Act of 1974 authorized by

Act for 1973, Public Laws 93-570 Appropriations Act for 1974, 93-294 Aviation Career Incentive

Resource Management System is available at: http://dpclo.defense.gov/Privacy/SORNs.aspx.
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval
authority, or alternately, to the requestors commander for non-tiered compliance items.
MAJCOMs will forward proposed supplements to this volume to Headquarters Air Force Training
