This manual implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 11-2, Aircrew Operations, AFPD 11-
4, Aviation Service, Air Force Instruction (AFI) 11-200, Aircrew Training,
Standardization/Evaluation, and General Operations Structure, and AFI 11-202, Vol 2, Aircrew
Standardization/Evaluation Program. This manual establishes requirements and grading criteria
for ground and flight phases of initial, requalification, and periodic flight evaluations. This is a
specialized publication intended for use by Airmen who have graduated from technical training
related to this publication. Unless noted otherwise, instructions contained herein apply to MC130J
aircraft. It provides the most acceptable policies and procedures for most circumstances, but does
not replace sound judgment. This guidance applies to all individuals performing crew duties on
any C130J variant. Evaluations for all crew positions can be given on any appropriate C-130J or
Weapons System Trainers (WST) variant unless stated otherwise. This manual applies to the
Regular Air Force as well as the Air National Guard. This manual does not apply to the Air Force
Reserve. Subordinate units may supplement this manual in accordance with (IAW) Paragraph
1.5. The use of the name or mark of any specific manufacturer, commercial product, commodity,
or service in this publication does not imply endorsement by the Air Force. The authorities to
waive wing/unit level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2,
T-3”) number following the compliance statement. See AFI 33-360, Publications and Forms
Management, for a description of the authorities associated with the Tier numbers.Ensure that all
records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained IAW Air
Force Manual (AFMAN) 33-363, Management of Records, and disposed of IAW the Air Force
