This Department of the Air Force Policy Directive (DAFPD) establishes policy and assigns
responsibilities for guidance applicable to the Air Force Flying Hour Program. It applies to all
Regular Air Force, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve personnel managing the flying
hour program. This DAFPD does not apply to the United States Space Force.
Ensure all records generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication adhere to Air
Force Instruction 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are
disposed in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule, which is located in the
Air Force Records Information Management System.
Submit recommended changes to this publication using Air Force (AF) Form 847,
Recommendation for Change of Publication; route AF Forms 847 through the field and the
appropriate functional chain of command to AF/A3TR at USAF Pentagon AF-A3 Mailbox
A3OR Readiness, usaf.pentagon.af-a3.mbx.a3tr-workflow@mail.mil. This publication may

SUMMARY OF CHANGES
