This instruction implements AFPD 11-2, Aircrew Operations, and prescribes procedures for

Air Forces (CAF) flying units. This instruction applies to all Air Combat Command (ACC) flying
units, Combat Air Force (CAF) Air National Guard units, as well as CAF Air Force Reserve
Command (AFRC) and Air National Guard (ANG) Total Force Integration (TFI) flying units that
maintain a classic association with active duty ACC flying units. Additionally, this instruction has
been coordinated with CAF units under Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) and United States Air Forces
