This Report documents the findings of Task Group HFM-170 (2008 – 2011) that identified
and demonstrated several successful supervisory control methodologies and interface
design practices for enabling single operator control of multiple Unmanned Vehicles
in network-centric operations. Fifteen independent technology demonstrations by
member NATO Nations are summarized. In addition, a candidate supervisory
control framework is described by which to characterize and communicate
research within the supervisory control domain.
