1. REISSUANCE AND PURPOSE
This Directive:
1.1. Reissues reference (a) to establish policies and assign responsibilities for the performance
of DoD materiel maintenance, including maintenance of weapon systems, hardware, equipment,
software, or any combination thereof and for both organic and contract sources of repair.
1.2. Authorizes the publication of reference (b), and reference (c), in accordance
with reference (d).
