Title: TRAINING REQUIREMENTS ANALYSIS REPORT (TRAR)

Use/Relationship: The Training Requirements Analysis Report (TRAR) documents the results
of the target population/entry skills analysis and the required skills/knowledge analysis. The
TRAR is used to establish the most basic level of training requirements for a Training System
(TS) and satisfy aircrew, maintenance and ground personnel Job Performance Requirements
(JPRs).
a. The TRAR establishes the skill, knowledge, and attitude training requirements for each type
of aircrew, maintenance and ground personnel to be trained in the TS. Based on the types of
skills and knowledges required to be trained, proficiency levels/codes are assigned for each
task/task activity.
b. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information
for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in the solicitation.
c. This DID is applicable to all TS acquisition programs.
d. This DID interrelates with DI-PSSS-81635, Mission/Task Analysis Report (MTAR); DI-
PSSS-80569, Objectives; and Media Analysis Report (OMAR), DI-PSSS-82102 Training
System Basis Analysis Report (TSBAR).

Requirements:
1. Reference documents. The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their
approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as
specified in the contract.
2. Format. Contractor format acceptable.
3. Content. The content for the TRAR is shown in 3.1 through 3
description of the material to be contained in each section.
3.1 Skills and knowledge analysis.
3.1.1 Procedures. This section describes the methods and procedures used to conduct the
analysis of skills, knowledges, and desired attitudes. It shall include detailed narratives,
descriptions, flow diagrams and other information on any taxonomies, typologies, or
classification strategies used to identify skills, knowledges, and attitudes from JPR data.
