This amendment forms a part of MIL-A-3248B dated 4 March 1970,
and is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies
of the Department of Defense.
3.1.1 Preservatives. Delete in its entirety and substitute:
“3.1.1 Preservatives.
Each .mxpul shall contain the following preservative,
within the limits specified, when tested as required in 4.5.2:
“Not less than 0.0063 gram and not more than 0.0100 gram of
epoxidized linseed oil, at time of manufacture. ”
Pages 4. 5 and 6:
Delete in their entirety the following paragraphs, 3.2.8.1, 3.2.8.2,
3.2.8.2.1, 3.2.8.2.2, 3.2.8.3, 3.2.8.4.2, and 3.2.9, and substitute the

“3.2.8.1 Immediate container.
Each iwmediate container label shall bear
the following information:
(a) label information in accordance with commercial practice.
“3.2.8.2 Unit packages. Each unit package label shall bear the following:
(a) labeling information in accordance with commercial practice.
(b) the National Stock Number.
(c) the expiration date.
“NOTE :
The National Stock Number shall
