MILITARY SPECIFICATION
ANTI-ICING AND DEICING-DEFROSTING FLUIDS
This specification is approved for use by all Departments
and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1.
SCOPE
1.1 Scope.
This specification covers the requirements for two types of
anti-icing and deicing-defrosting fluids for use on aircraft.
1.2 Classification. The anti-icing and deicing-defrosting fluids covered
by this specification shall be of the following types, as specified (see
6.2.1):
Type I - Propylene Glycol base fluid with Inhibitor
Type 11 - Ethylene Glycol base fluid with Inhibitor
