This specification is mandatory for use by all Departments
and Agencies of the Department of Defense.

SCOPE
1.1 This specification covers the detail requirements governing the
corrosion-preventionpreboiling and ground operation of aircraft
gas turbine engines and is applicable to all contractors having
physical custody of these engines.
