MILITARY SPECIFICATION
FLUID FLOWMETER, VOLUME VELOCITY TYPE
This specification is approved for use within the Naval Sea Systems
Command, Department of the Navy, and is available for use by all
Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE

Scope.
This specification covers flowmeters for use in liquids such
as fresh water, sea water, fuels and oils.
The flow sensor, of the turbine,
vortex, or drag type, shall be located in the liquid and actuated by the
motion of that liquid.
