specification
is
approved

use

Departments

1.
SCOPE
1.1
This
specification
covers
the
requirements
for
aqueous
fila-
foraing
foam (AFFF)
liquid
concentrate
fire
extinguishing
agents
consisting
of
fluorocarbon
surfactants
and
other
compounds,
as
required
to
conform
to
thifJ
specification.
At
the
time
of
use
the
concentrates
shall
be
diluted
with
fresh
or
or
ocean
water
to
form. a
fire-extinguishing
solution.
Certain
proportioning
equipment
may
produce
AFFF
solutions
of-extreme
concentrations;
requirements
of·
such
concentrations
are
specified
herein.
