GUN, MACHINE, CALIBER .50, BRONNING, N2,
.HEAVY BARREL
l%is Amendment forms a part of Military Specification MIL-G-001298C (AR),
dated 17 November 1981, and is approved. for use within the US Army Armament
Munitions and Chemical Command and ia available for use by all Departments
and Agencies of the Department of Defense.

Delete paragraph 4.5.3.6 in its entirety and substitute the following:
“4.5.3.6’ Belt”ptill’testing.
Each machine gun shall be tested for belt
pull (see 3.3.5) using the test method specified in 4.6.5. Nachine guns
which fail to meet these requirements shall be subject to the provisions of
paragraph 4.5.3.1.
They may then be mechanically gymnasticated for a period
not longer than ten minutes, and then retested as specified in 4.6.5.
Failure
of the retest to meet the requirements shall be cause for rejection of the
machine gun.”
