GLASSES . SIGHT-PLOW. CLEAR. SOROS lLICATE
This specification is app-..ved for use by all Departments and
Agencies of the Department of Defense.
SCOPE
1.1 This specification
covers themlly tempered borosilicate sight glasses for such
services as viewing the operation in w- >r evaporators and turbine oil sight-flow indicators
whore the temperatures do not exceed .:’29”Fahrenheit (F.) and 50 Funds Per SqU8x@ inch
(psi] pressure [see 6.21.
1.2 classification. Borosilicate sight glasses covered by this specificecion shall
be of the foilowing types and grades, as specified (see 6 .1) :
Type 1 - Flat
Type 11 - Cylindrical
