This amendment forms a part of MIL-K-23714, dated 4 September 1989, and is approved
for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.

3.3.1.1: Delete and substitute:
“3.3.1.1 Tamperproof seal. The closure shall be capable of accommodating a crimped
seal through the hole in the closure bolt, through closure ring lugs, or at twist lock to effect a
tamperproof seal. The crimped seal is not necessary when the container is empty (see 6.2).”
