FOR
This amendment forms a part of Military Specification MIL-L-6363F
dated 6 July 1987, and is approved for use by al 1 Departments and
Agencies of the Department of Defense.

In list of applicable documents, delete “MIL-STD-143” and substitute
“MIL-STD-970.”
3.3 Selection of specifications and standards. Oelete “MIL-STO-143” and
substitute “MIL-STO-970” at end of paragraph.

3.5.7 Filament. Add the fol lowing new sentence:
“When not specified by the detail specification, the f ilament arrangement
and support shal 1 be at the manufacturer’ s option, to meet the
performance and environmental requirements specified herein and in the

applicable detail specification. ”
3.5.8 Optional
design.
Delete the last sentence and substitute the fol lowing:
“Only changes in design which affect form, fit or function of the lamp
shall be approved by the procuring contracting officer. ”

“3.8 Examination of product.
Lamps shal1 be dimensionally inspected for
conformance
to the applicable detai 1 specification and visually examined
for conformance to workmanship (see 4.6.1) .“
