MILITARY SPECIFICATION
LUBRICANT, SOLID FIN, HEAT CURED, CORROSION INHIBITING,
NATO CODE NUMBER S-1738
This specification is approved for use by all
Departments and Agencies of the Department of
Defense.

SCOPE
1.1 Scope.
This specification establishes the requirements for a solid
film lubricant (identified by NATO code number S-1738) (see 6.5) intended to
reduce wear and prevent galling, corrosion and seizure of metals (see 6.1).
