MILITARY SPECIFICATION
MAGNESIUM ALLOY, PROCESSES FOR PRETREATMENT AND PREVENTION OF
CORROSION ON
MIL-M-3171C, dated 11 July 1966, and AMENDMENT 1, dated 14
March 1974, are hereby canceled. The preparing activity for this
document has determined that AMS-M-3171, “Magnesium Alloy,
Processes For Pretreatment And Prevention Of Corrosion On”, dated
April 1998, is a suitable replacement. Users are cautioned to
evaluate AMS-M-3171 for their particular application before citing
it as a replacement document. CAUTION: The supersession information
is valid as of the date of this notice and may be superseded by
subsequent revisions of the superseding document.
