MILITARY SPECIFICATION
MARKING OF ELECTRONIC ITEMS
is approved for use within Laboratory Command,
Department of the -y, and is available for use by all
Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scone. ‘l’hisspecification covers the general requirements
for marking of electronic items, except marking for shipment and
except as otherwise specified by an applicable Government
document covering the item on which the marking appears. These
requirements cover both the information to be shown by the
marking and the materials and processes used therefor.
2.
APPLICABLE DOCUNENTS

2.1.1 Specifications.standards,
and handbooks.
The following
specifications, standards,
and handbooks form a part of this
specification to the extent specified herein. Unless otherwise
specified,
the issues of these documents shall be those listed in
the issue of the Department of Defense Index of Specifications
and Standards (DODISS) and supplement thereto, cited in the
solicitation.
Beneficial comments (recommendations, additions, deletions) and
any pertinent data which may be of use in improving this
