1, SCOPE.

1.1 Scone. This Specification prescribes the requirements for a contractor’s Quality Assurance (QA)
program for interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and, where procured, the associated
lETM data tree. The requirements herein cover the QA proaxs from planning through final
submission of the delivered product for acceptance; and apply as well to changes and revisions thereto.
1.1.1 Summary of rwuirements. This Specification provides detailed requirements for:

Preparation of a Qua lily Assumnce Program Plan (QAPP), which is to be followed by the
contmctor’s QA organization to assure delivery of IETMs in accordance with contract
requirements.
Participation in a guidance and quality planning confcrcncc.
Participation in Government conducted Quality Assurance Process Inspections (QAPIs)
which will address primarily the contractor’s QA proccsscs.
Validation of the IETMs and related Technical Information (TI).
When specified, preparation of a verification support plan.
Preparation, retention, and analysis of QA records.
