MILITARY SPECIFICATION
UNIT HEATER, AIR-CIRCULATING,
STEAH - HOT WATER
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and
Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1.1 ~. This specification covers unit air heaters using steam or hot
water as the heating medium.
1.2 Classification. The unit heaters shal 1 be of the following types and
classes as specified (see 6.2 and 6.5):
Type I - Propeller fan.
Type 11 - Centrifugal fan.
Class 1 - Steam heater.
Class 2 - Hot water heater.

standards form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein.
