VALVES, OXYGEN, HELIUM AND HELIUM OXYGEN
MIXTURE, HIGH PRESSURE FOR GAS
SERVICES
This specification is approved for use by the Naval Sea
Department of the Navy, and is available for use by all
Agencies of the Department of Defense.

SCOPE

1.1 Scope. This specification describes valves for high pressure oxygen,
helium, and helium oxygen mixture gas services.
1.2 Classification. The valves shall be of the following types and sizes
as specified (see 6.2.1).
Type A - Angle body.
Type B
- Globe body.
Type C - Check, globe body.
Type L)- Check, angle body.
Size
- 1/4 to 2-1/2 inches.

Pressure ratin*
The valves described by this specification shall
be suitable for use with an operating system pressure of 4500 pounds per square
inch (lb/in2).
