SUBJECT: Air Force Guidance Memorandum – AFI 15-127, Weather Training
By Order of the Secretary of the Air Force, this Guidance Memorandum immediately establishes
an interim guidance that implements changes to the AFI 15-127 requirement (para 3.1.1.) for Airmen to
annually certify on duty and core tasks. Airman will also only be required to certify on tasks that are

be re-written to amend core and duty tasks that align with Air Force weather and unit missions.
Compliance with this Memorandum is mandatory. To the extent its directions are inconsistent with other
Department of the Air Force publications, the information herein prevails, in accordance with Department
of the Air Force Instruction (DAFI) 90-160, Publications and Forms Management and Department of the
Air Force Manual (DAFMAN) 90-161, Publishing Processes and Procedures. This publication applies
to the Regular Air Force, the Air Force Reserve, and the Air National Guard. This publication does not
apply to the United States Space Force.
This Memorandum becomes void after one year has elapsed from the date of this Memorandum,
or upon publishing of a new Instruction/Manual permanently establishing this guidance in CFETP
1W0X1 and AFI 15-127 whichever is earlier.
