This instruction implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 36-26, Total Force Development
and Management. Specifically providing guidance on Department of Defense Instruction
(DODI) 1304.02, Accession Processing Data Collection Forms; DoDI 1304.31, Enlisted Bonus
Program; DoD Directive (DoDD) 1332.41, Boards for Correction of Military Records (BCMRs)
and Discharge Review Boards (DRBs); and Department of Defense (DoD) 7000.14-R, DoD
Financial Management Regulation (DoDFMR) Volume 7A, Military Pay Policy - Active Duty
and Reserve Pay, Chapter 2, Repayment of Unearned Portion of Bonuses and Other Benefits. It
provides guidance and procedures for reenlisting and extending enlistments in the United States
Air Force. This publication applies to Regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Air National
Guard personnel. In collaboration with the Chief of Air Force Reserve (AF/RE) and the Director
of the Air National Guard (NGB/CF), the Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel, and
Services (AF/A1), develops policy for reenlistment and enlistment in the United States Air
Force. Ensure all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are
maintained in accordance with Air Force Manual 33-363, Management of Records, and disposed
of in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule located in the Air Force
Records Information Management System. This instruction requires the collection and or
maintenance of information protected by 5 United States Code (U.S.C.) § 552a, The Privacy Act
of 1974. The authorities to collect or maintain the records prescribed in the publication are Title
10 United States Code § 9013, Secretary of the Air Force; and Executive Order 13478,
Amendments to Executive Order 9397 Relating to Federal Agency Use of Social Security
